Orlando’s Real Estate Market Continues to Improve – The number of homes for sale in the Orlando area continues its nine month decline. The number of unsold homes in October slid again to 19,455, down from 19,623 in September. This leaves 168 less homes for sale than one month ago.

Orlando Median Home Prices Rise – The median home price finally takes a move upward from its trend downward. The median home price in Orlando gains some ground in October to $130,000, up from $125,000 just last month. Most experts believe the increase in home prices this month is a result of buyers making a last minute push to take advantage of the “buyer’s tax credit” which was set to expire at the end of November.
Orlando Housing Inventory – The number of unsold homes in Orlando was down to 19,455, from 19,623 a month ago. This reflects a reduction in inventory by 168 homes from September. The number of homes sold in October was up to 2,848, from the 2790 home sales in September. This leaves 6.83 months of inventory on hand.
